Pottinger TineCare comb harrow

Adding to its line-up of mechanical weeding kit, Pottinger’s 12m TineCare comb harrow made its UK debut at Cereals.Six rows of 8mm tines are arranged in five bed sections which can independently pivot to follow ground contours. Lightweight coil springs keep each tine in contact with the ground while a hydraulic pressure control system can vary individual tine loading from 500g right up to 6kg. When you consider there are 400 of them across the full span of the machine, that’s quite something. Four depth wheels out front and a further two to the rear of the centre frame section carry the weight and keep things on the level. Price for the 12m TineCare harrow is £31,000.
